LDS Teams with McKesson to Create Intranet Recognized by Nielsen Norman Group

Logical Design Solutions (LDS), the portal partner to the Fortune 500, has announced that McKesson Corporation’s intranet portal, McKNet, has been named one of 2009’s ten best intranets in Nielsen Norman Group’s “Intranet Design Annual 2009” report.

Criteria for this prestigious award include demonstration of intranet design best practices in areas including:

• On-boarding of new employees
• Web 2.0 features
• Collaboration tools
• Employee self-service
• Governance.

LDS has been integral in the evolution of McKNet, as the companyhas continued to work with McKesson since first being engaged in 2006 to define the intranet’s redesign business requirements. LDS has developed McKNet’s strategy phase, supported development of its information architecture and visual design and contributed a communications plan to encourage adoption during the site's relaunch.
